Modern Coast buses resumes normal operations, today as NTSA lifts the ban

Customers using the Modern Coast Bus service can now breathe easy after, the transport company was cleared to resume operations from Tuesday at 1 pm.

Last week the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) had suspended its services after two of its buses were involved in a fatal crash that claimed over five lives and scores injured.

The Mombasa-based transport company took to its social media pages to announce the breakthrough, days after customers who had booked early felt like their holiday plans had been messed up.

“We are pleased to inform all our passengers that we have received permission from NTSA to resume operations from 1 pm on December 17, 2019,” Modern Coast said via Twitter on Tuesday.

The reprieve comes five days after the bus company was suspended over multiple accidents.
