UAP’s Faulu Foundation gifts Ksh. 5M queue management system to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital
The UAP Old Mutual Faulu Foundation has announced that it has gifted a Ksh. 5 million Queue Management System and Seats to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital in Nairobi County.
The Queue Management System and Seats will help improve the service at the hospital and also improve the comfort of patients waiting to be attended to when visiting the Hospital.
The Foundation Chairman, Dr. Peter Wanyaga Muthoka said, “We believe this will create value especially with the expansion project the hospital is currently implementing under the sponsorship of the Nairobi City County Government”.
The Agreement signing ceremony which took place at Mama Lucy County Hospital is aimed at improving the care and management of patients visiting the facility. The Queue Management System will create efficiency and improve management of the hospital through better reporting for the facility, which receives up-to 1500 patients daily.
The UAP Old Mutual Faulu Foundation is the Social Responsibility arm for the UAP Old Mutual Group. The Foundation, originally known as Old Mutual Kenya Foundation, was established as a Trust in the year 2014 and incorporated in the year 2017. It serves to realize the Group’s vision of enabling dreams by positively impacting the community with a focus on:
- Healthcare – Support improvement of access to quality healthcare through; Funding provision of medical equipment and improvement of healthcare infrastructure
- Environment – Support environmental conservation through; Funding of sustainable management of resources, and the protection of the natural environment through changes in public policy, individual behavior and conservation initiatives
- Financial Wellbeing – Support initiatives aimed at improving financial decision-making, financial inclusion and creating awareness.
Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital (MLKH) is a County Referral Hospital that is managed by the Nairobi City County Government. It is the primary referral hospital and is built on ten (10) acres of land with a bed capacity of 121. It offers a wide range of services including; General Outpatient, Accident and Emergency, Specialized Outpatient Clinic, Physical Rehabilitation Services, Reproductive Health Services, Comprehensive Care Clinic, TB Clinic, Medical Laboratory Diagnosis, Radiological Diagnostic Services, Inpatient Services, Major and Minor Surgeries, Civil Servants’ Clinic, Universal Health Service (NHIF) And Pharmacy Services.
