Rogue Kayole pastor kidnaps children and deceives followers he can find them through prayers, fasting
The police officers in Kayole estate are looking for a suspected rogue pastor who allegedly kidnaps children then deceives his congregants that he can help them find them through prayer and fasting.
The latest incident involves a two-year-old boy who was kidnapped by some of the pastor’s followers last Sunday and was found on Wednesday morning.
According to the boy’s parents, the kid went missing on Sunday while playing with his colleagues in a church compound within Kayole estate.
“On Monday morning we came here (Kayole Police Station) at 6 am and we found no information about our lost boy and the police wrote us an OB,” said Pauline Muthoni, the boy’s mother.
The Mother further said the rogue pastor predicted to her that their son is safe and he shall be found
“He prophesied to me that my son will be found on Wednesday morning with a certain woman, and I will meet the woman at 8 am Wednesday,” she added.
The resident confronted a woman said to be involved in the kidnappings and frog-marched her to the Kayole police station.
This is the second similar incident in less than a month, resident in Kanguruwe area believe that the pastor colludes with some of his members to abduct children whom they are familiar with.
“This woman has connections to the rogue pastor, they want me to be a witness that their prayers and fasting have found my son. This is very fishy,” said the mother.
After a week or so a man who claims he is a prophet traces the family to inform them about a breakthrough after fasting and prayer.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
