My name will be in the ballot in 2022- Khaligraph Jones says

Rapper Brian Ouko Omollo known to his legion of fans as Khaligraph Jones now says besides music he also has a burning interest of venturing into the political world.

In an interview with Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange Live (JKL), Wednesday, the rapper has revealed that he could seek a political seat if motivated by the people.

“I think all that depends with the times and situations. I can’t say I won’t do it. Because when I go back to Kayole and I see the reception from the people and how they treat me, then I see a possibility of wanting to take that route,” he said.

Kaligraph who hails from Bondo has never shied from sharing his life story.

The rapper made a name for himself through hip hop freestyle battles before his great breakthrough in 2013 when he released his diss track F**k off.

Lauded as one of Kenya’s top rappers, the Yego hitmaker recently shared his life story in a chilling freestyle video uploaded on his Instagram account.

In the clip he opens up on his painful experience in losing late ex-girlfriend Ruby Jezebel to suicide.

He goes on to paint a picture of his humble beginnings before reaching fame.

Upon completing High school Khaligraph started landing odd jobs, sometimes working as a bouncer and at times passing as a waiter.

“Didn’t have a stable job, I was a part-time bouncer Slash rapper slash waiter wa kuserve watu kwa counter,” he raps Khaligraph.

His brother Span Kob has also been quoted on numerous occasions talking about the rapper’s struggles and hustles before venturing into mainstream music.

“Alianza kuenda gym na kuinua mawe uko Kayole. He started doing those jobos for security in clubs. That’s where he started from coz, you know, ata yeye lazima angekuwa na kitu ya kujilea nayo,” his older brother Span Kob was quoted in an interview.
