The woes of Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu seem to be piling up as the days progress. This is after the Court of Appeal upheld the decision barring him from accessing his office.

Waitutu together with Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal and Nairobi’s Mike Sonko will still stay away from their offices until their cases in court are heard and determined.

The decision to bar Waititu from office was the ruling of High Court Judge Justice Mumbi Ngugi’s, however, the Court of Appeal said barring the two governors does not amount to removal from office.

On Thursday, the Kiambu County MCAs impeached Waititu in a unanimous vote.

The 3 Governors have been barred from accessing their county govt officers over allegations of misappropriation of county funds.

The three, Governors Moses Lenolkulal (Samburu), Ferdinand Waititu (Kiambu) and Mike Sonko (Nairobi) had sought the Appellate court’s reprieve to gain access to their offices.
