Likoni Ferry Tragedy: The late Mirriam Kighenda, daughter Amanda Mutheu to be buried, Saturday
The bodies of the late Mirriam Kighenda and daughter Amanda Mutheu will be released from the Jocham Hospital Mortuary on Friday for burial in Makueni County on Saturday.c
According to Mirriam’s husband, Mr John Wambua Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has promise to foot the transportation bill to Makueni through his Sonko Rescue team.
“So far he (Sonko) has sent us an ambulance and four buses are on the way to ferry mourners to Makueni. He also promised me some cash,” said Wambua.
Kighenda and her daughter died after their vehicle plunged into the Indian Ocean while aboard the Likoni Ferry.
