Likoni Ferry Tragedy: 4 facts we know so far
Friday, 4, September is the sixth day since the vehicle carrying Marriam Kighenda and daughter Amanda Mutheu plunged into the Indian ocean at the Likoni Ferry channel.
Here is what we have established as the recovery operations team gives it another go.
- The Swedish professional diver Volka Bassen has already dived into the Indian ocean to begin the search.
2. Volka is conducting the recovery exercise without asking for a single coin from the Kighenda family.
3. The Kighenda family has so far paid private divers Sh100,000 to help in the recovery exercise.
4. Ali Khan is a Kenyan diver at Diani Diving School who works with Volka.
