Inua Jamii cash transfer Program is an initiative of the Government of Kenya under the Ministry of EAC, Labour and Social Protection that seeks to provide cash transfers to elderly Kenyans above the age of 70 to enable them live dignified lives.
Eligibility criteria
- National id
- Be 70 years old rich or poor
Those who will have registered by 31st August will start receiving payment in January 2018.
Benefits
- They will be given NHIF cards too that will cover many treatments like dialysis, prostrate, Hypertension, major & minor surgeries, cancer treatments e.g. radiation, chemotherapy, etc.
- Free treatment in all Government hospitals as well as any other private hospital graded A by NHIF. For hospitals graded B, also coverage is pretty high.
The Registration is going on at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. Visit the District Social Development Officer in your district.
