Kariobangi South fire claims lives
Three people have died and four other injured in a fire at Kariobangi south, Nairobi.
The fire broke out at 2am in the residential home. The three included a 1year old child and 2 men.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. Before the fire, there had been a blackout and many homes had been using a candle light.
The fire engine trucks arrived way much later after the fire had gutted the building. It was then that the firefighters noted the 2bodies in the debris, the child died on arrival at the hospital.
The bodies were moved to the morgue. Those who were injured were taken to a hospital in Buruburu.
The Nairobi police boss Philip Ndolo said that a team of experts will be investigating the cause of fire.
