I am sorry, forgive me – MP Ndindi Nyoro apologises
The embattled Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has officially apologised to the Catholic church faithful over his behaviour at Gitui Catholic Church on Sunday.
A remorseful Ndindi also apologised on behalf of all the politicians who were present at the Sunday fundraising.
“I want to be the first one to apologise on behalf of myself and other politicians who were at Gitui church. If I have made a mistake, I am sorry, forgive me,” said Nyoro.
“I would rather lose my seat than mock God. He is the one who has brought me this far,” he added.
Ndindi was speaking on Tuesday morning after he was released.
His apology comes in a day after Murang’s Catholic Bishop James Maria Wainaina announced that the church in the region will no longer entertain politics in her vicinity.
The brawl at Gitui church happened on Sunday after Nyoro claimed that Maina Kamanda and his team had breached protocol by visiting his constituency and denying his a chance to address the congregants.
