Safaricom employee Martha Kimondo meets Birdman’s contingent of eagles and crows
In a viral social media video, Rodgers Oloo alias Birdman is seen being served by Martha Kimondo, a staff member at Safaricom head office.
Sitting in front of Martha’s desk, Birdman juggles between his smartphone, SIM Cards, and the birds atop his head.
A visibly scared Martha looks on as Rodgers changes his SIM Card. Rodgers then introduces Martha to his birds by playfully placing a huge crow on her arm.
After a brief tensed face-off, Rodgers withdrew the bird much to Martha’s relief.
Kenyans react to Nairobi Birdman’s Safaricom Job
Kenyans have reacted to the strange appearance of the Birdman at Safaricom, with some reporting that he had landed an endorsement deal.
The original video was shared on Martha Kimondo’s TikTok account and instantly went viral.
Edgar Obare among other top bloggers and tabloids broke the news on the internet.
“Legendary street urchin, Bird man, has allegedly landed a job with Safaricom,” wrote Obare on X.
These reports, however, remain unconfirmed by the giant telecommunication company.

Also a former street boy, Rodgers has gained significant fame through street and TV interviews.
He has been interviewed by top journalists like CNN’s Larry Madowo during the protests, in addition to appearing on a special segment on Citizen TV.
The multi-talented birdman was also recently in a studio session recording new music.
Rodgers looks to follow in the steps of former trending sensations like Githeri Man and Ugali Man who landed lucrative endorsement deals in their glory days.
