Social media influencer and trendsetter Maureen Waititu has disclosed on her YouTube channel on her journey on battling depression after calling it quits with former boyfriend Frankie Justgymit.

Waititu went on to paint a picture of the torturous hell she has been through for the past six months.

“It’s no secret that I just broke up with my boyfriend about six months ago and let me tell you guys it was tough and I remember not being able to know how to react. Of course, let me tell you with anything break-up or grieving someone who’s past away or anything it’s just a process… trust the process.

” I trusted my process and that’s why I look like I’ve healed really but trust me I’ve not rushed my healing… You will have your denial stage, you will have your anger stage, you will have your crazy stage, you will have your negotiation stage, you will have your acceptance which personally I have come to and you will keep going back and forth until this entire process finishes what it started,” said continued.

She, however, noted that at the moment she is on her way to recovery and at a much better place in her life.

“I was deliberate in my healing, I went to see a psychologist, I went to see a psychiatrist and I’ve been doing very well. I’m on medication and I’m not afraid to say it. Seek help,” she said.

This comes barely weeks after the mother of two in a recent interview with a local station disclosed that she still had feelings for Frankie.

“You know in this life we live in especially the 21st century, there’s so much. Nowadays when people get problems in their relationships, they opt to run away than solve it. All I can say in simple terms is that we did not fix ours and we split. We split because of ordinary things.

“You know when you wake up every day and you are not happy. You tell your partner how you prefer things to be done and they don’t see the need to change,” she went on.

“At that point, I felt as I headed in different directions and so was he. I just felt there was no need. It gave me a lot of stress and you know if you are not happy, everything else doesn’t make sense,” she said.

The mother added that she tried everything in her power to make the relationship work, but unfortunately, things took a different path.

“Things like this don’t just happen, it’s something that has gone on for some time and you know our nature as women, we fight and fight and until we feel we can’t fight anymore and that’s how I felt.”

“So instead in a relationship and being unhappy and miserable, where when we go home we don’t even look at each other we saw it fit to split and create a conducive environment for our kids,” she recalled.

“Hata sitadanganya bado nampenda sana labda hata for the rest of my life. He’s my first and true love. Tulipatanishwa na rafiki wetu…Nimekuwa na hayo mawazo lakini nikiangalia the bigger naona hakuna majuto kwa sababu hakuna mahali pameandikwa watu wawili watakaa mpaka mwisho. You never know labda haikuwa safari yangu lakini nimelearn my lesson,” she revealed on live broadcast.
