President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally spelt doom on all security officers caught napping on their jobs.

While addressing top security officials and government officers in Mombasa on Friday, Uhuru ordered police Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai and the National Police Service to sack any rogue officers instead of transferring them to other locations.

“We will not be transferring corruption from one region to another, no,” said Uhuru.

“If you make a mistake, be ready to go home… Hakuna kucheka na mtu (it’s no laughing matter),” he added.

The head of state said the new executive order will ensure that only the good officers are rewarded.

“We want to go to a platform where we reward those who do good and allow for the exit of those who are not performing.”

He finally warned top officials who may be reluctant to fire incompetent officers,

“If you don’t take action early enough, we will,” he said.
