Tanzanian Music Regulatory board has banned musician Rosa Ree from taking part in any music-related activities for the next six months.
According to Tanzanian’s newspaper Mwananchi , the Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (Basata), made the decision following the release of ‘Vitamin U,’ where the singer featured in obscene scenes.
This, therefore, means that the rapper will not be allowed to perform in and outside the country, or even release a new song.
The directive comes barely a week after the singer was summoned by the same board.
Ree who was summoned by Tanzania Film Board, Wednesday, took to social media to apologise stating that she had no prior knowledge that the video would land her in trouble. Saying she was not conversant with the structure pertaining to video regulations concerning artists in Tanzania.
She said.
