The rare Osprey bird that flew over 6,948 kilometres or 4,317 miles from Finland to Siaya county in Kenya has died.
According to the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), the bird perched at a Usalu, a remote village in West Imbo Location, Bondo Sub County in Siaya County.

According to the Kenya Wildlife Service, the bird that was placed in ICU succumbed to long-term starvation.
The four-year-old bird died at the weekend while under the care of Kenya Wildlife Service veterinarians in Karen Nairobi.
Osprey (Pandion haliaetus), also known as the sea hawk, river hawk, and a fish hawk is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey with a cosmopolitan range.

It is a large raptor, reaching more than 60 cm (24 in) in length and 180 cm (71 in) across the wings.
