Protect your bedroom from outsiders, Raila Odinga urges Kibra voters

Former Prime Minister and ODM party leader Raila Odinga has called on all Kibra voters tu turn out in their numbers to ensure the Orange Party retains the seat.

“We are in our bedroom and I want to ask our people to protect our bedroom against infiltrators and outsiders,” Raila said.

The seasoned politician spoke on Thursday after casting his vote at the Old Kibra Primary school alongside his wife Ida Odinga Few minutes after ODM candidate Benard Okoth cast his vote.

Odinga also challenged IEBC and security officers to ensure no voter bribery incidents happen at the polling stations.

 “We want the people to decide on their own and we also urge all our supporters to be very peaceful today we don’t want anybody to complain of intimidation,” he added.

 

“People must be allowed to exercise their democratic right today. I want to urge all to come and vote today.”

However, Jubilee candidate McDonald Mariga has rubbished any bribery incident terming it a tactic by ODM to ensure violence ensue during the exercise.

The winner of the by-election will fill in the shoe left vacant by former MP Ken Okoth who succumbed to cancer in July.
