Shortly after engaging the mainstream media, President Ruto followed up his promise of engaging young people on X.
President William Ruto appeared on an X space alongside his aide Hussein Mohammed, who assisted in moderating the conversation.
For over 2 hours, the president answered questions from ordinary Kenyans on issues related to his government.
Some of the issues tackled in the conversation included:
-
- Arrogance by state and elected officials in the ruling party
- The hiring of intern doctors
- Arrests of killer cops who fatally shot protestors in the demos

Osama Otero faces the wrath of Kenyans on X
The admission of William Ruto into Osama’s space raised eyebrows as Osama had earlier vowed to host one in parallel to the president’s.
To everyone’s surprise, the president was unprecedently admitted into Osama’s space where he began engaging Kenyans.
With Osama seemingly going back on his word, Kenyans trained their guns on him for an epic thrashing.
Most enraged netizens claimed that Mr. Otero had been bribed by the government.
Others accused him of betraying the young Kenyans who recently died amid the protests.
“We will never forget our fallen heroes! We will not betray them like Osama Otero,” wrote @AlinurMohammed
“President William Ruto has been forced to close the statehouse road after seeing what’s happening at Uhuru Park. You bought only Osama Otero, not Gen Zs. They will not believe,” said another.
Osama Otero pleads for forgiveness
Amid mounting criticism on X, Osama Otero has publicly appealed for forgiveness.
In a viral conversation screenshot, Osama Otero, who goes by @Sir-Rap-A-Lot on X says he’s now suicidal and gone into hiding.
His apology has seemingly done little to quell the heavy bouts of criticism aimed at him.
Under the latest “Forgive Osama” trend on Twitter (X), netizens have shown no intentions to forgive the besieged influencer.
Below are some of the reactions to Osama’s plea:
“Forgive your enemies, except Osama”
“Forgive Osama Otero or post yourself?”
“I understand WAR IS WAR but we must forgive Osama! Someone had to step in and host the #EngageThePresident X Space! We need to unite!”

Osama’s decision to host the president on X space has seemingly damaged his reputation as one of Kenya’s most respected tweeps.
It’s a significant setback to his recent social justice activism, which led to his alleged abduction by the authorities.
Recently, Osama hosted an X space that attracted 1.2 million listeners. Titled “Good Morning Kenya: Where is Crazy Nairobian?”, the Space ran for over 10 hours, marking a historic achievement.
Shortly after Crazy Nairobian’s release, Osama was also abducted. Kenyans on X returned the favor by rallying on the #FreeOsama hashtag, which agitated for his release.
In a surprising twist, the very citizens who once demanded his release are now shunning him and have since labeled him a sellout.
