Bahati Constituency Member of Parliament has, in a rare show of defiance, hit back days after President Uhuru Kenyatta publicly scolded him, telling him to tone down on insults and to do his job. In a video clip that has since gone viral, the vocal MP has told the President to stop hypocrisy and tell Kenyans the truth about his unity deal with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

The lawmaker’s comeback surfaces as a response to the public lecture that the President delivered while on a tour to the Constituency, where he sought to know from the residents the basis of their MP’s constant attacks on him.

In the clip, the MP also asks the President to quit if he is unable to perform his functions, saying that his support for the Deputy President will stand unwavering. Kimani has been on the front line leading a section of rebel MPs who have audaciously defied innumerable presidential directives.
Others singing to Kimani’s tune include Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Kikuyu’s Kimani Ichung’wa, Kiharu’s Ndindi Nyoro among others.
