Embattled Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko has sacked two executives and reinstated his super CEC Charles Kerich.
The changes by Sonko comes in a months after Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal who is also facing graft charges in court had his quest to make cabinet changes halted when the DPP objected termed it a contempt of court that deserved to be punished.
However, Nairobi County Director of Communications Elkana Jacob rubberstamped Sonko’c changes terming the move legitimate.
In his latest changes, Sonko fired Pauline Kahiga(finance) and Winfred Gathagu (Agriculture).
Charles Kerich who held the Lands and Housing docket before he was suspended after because of the Precious Talent School Tragedy and Mohamed Dagane have a made a comeback after more than three months in the cold.
Dagane will now be in charge of the Roads, Transport and Public Works docket, before his suspension he was in charge of the Health department.
New entrants joining the City Hall cabinet team includes Karen Nyamu (Agriculture) who unsuccessfully vied for the Nairobi Women Representative seat in 2017 and George Fredrick Omogi (Trade and Cooperatives).
