Kiambu Women Representative Gathoni Wamuchomba, Senator Isaac Mwaura and other leaders walked to Kiambu Law Courts on Thursday over delayed swearing-in of Deputy Governor James Nyoro.
The latest update from the Judiciary communication team did not sit well with the leaders, who want to see Nyoro sworn-in today.
“For unavoidable reasons, the swearing-in of Dr James Nyoro will not be conducted today. A new date will be communicated in due course. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.,” read the update from the Judiciary Communications.
Since morning preparations have been in top gear at Kiambu county governor’s office for the swearing-in of Nyoro.
Earlier, pro-Nyoro leaders led by MCAs, friends and relatives were in frenzied mood as they danced and sang anticipating swearing in of their new Kiambu Governor.
