PHOTOS: Family of 4 dies after landslides sweep their house in Marakwet East
A family of four has succumbed after landslides swept their house in Turung village, Marakwet East on Friday.
Area OCPD Vincent Kitili has confirmed the unfortunate incident, he also said the bodies have already been pulled out of the rumble.
Reports indicate that a man, his wife and their two children were buried in the debris.
Heavy rains have been witnessed across the country and the Marakwet East area is among the most affected regions in the country.
According to the Kenya Meteorological Department, the downpour is expected to last four more days across the country.
The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) named Elgeyo Marakwet among the regions where torrential rainfall is expected.
