Penninah Wangechi forgives her husband after he stabbed her 17 times
A Nyeri woman Peninnah Wangechi who hit the headlines in April after her husband stabbed her 17 times has decided to forgive him and even drop the charges she filed against him.
Speaking with the media on Monday, Wangechi said the assault charges she had filed against her husband Samuel Ndirangu will cease since she has forgiven him.
The 30-year-old woman said the genesis of their quarrels were a job she was doing as a clerical officer in a local Sacco, which Ndiarngu wanted her to quit.
“I never took the threats seriously but this time he took my phone and switched it off. He then went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed me as I screamed for help,” she said in April.
So far Wangechi is stable despite losing a lot of blood and undergoing more than 10 stitches
