Mumias Sugar fires all employees, after going under receivership
Sugar millers Mumias Sugar have sacked all their employees just a month after the firm was placed under receivership under Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB).
The company broke the sad news on Tuesday, 5, November 2019
“Consequent to the company being placed in receivership, all employees contracts stand terminated from the date of receivership i.e 20th September 2019.” read the letter in part.
According to the Mumias Sugar Board, the affected employees will be lawfully compensated.
