Kenya Red Cross Contain Huge Fire at Furniture Shop on Thika Road

 

Bed Palace along Thika was on Wednesday morning destroyed by a massive fire on Wednesday morning, with fears that it may have caused casualties.

With no firefighters onsite, the massive flames burned down the Thika Road furniture shop causing total damage.

Kenya Red Cross Nairobi branch responded to distress calls, rushed to the scene, and contained the fire minutes later.

The inferno temporarily halted traffic on the busy highway as motorists and members of the public gathered at the scene.

Photos from the scene show massive flames engulfing the premises, with concerns that the fire may have spread to nearby buildings.
