JUST IN: Storey building in Butali, Kakamega county collapses, several men trapped in
Building under construction has collapsed in Butali, Kakamega County with several workers trapped in the debris.
Rescue operations underway as one person is feared dead.
At least four builders were inside when the building came tumbling, some of those trapped-in have been making frantic phone calls asking for help.
The mains reason for the collapse is not yet clear but reports indicate that the current foundation and the metals used in construction were not quite strong to contain the house which is quite big.
So far no rescue team has reported to the area as locals try their hands to help those trapped in.
At least 2 people are confirmed dead and scores trapped after a two-storey building collapsed.
