Governor Mike Sonko suspends ‘super’ CEC Charles Kerich
Nairobi Governor has on 25, September, 2019 suspended the services of his two mosy trusted County Executives.
Sonko reportedly fired Finance CEC Charles Kerich and Health CEC Mohammed Dagane and 14 other City Hall officials.
“I assured Nairobi residents that as the Governor, I will not leave any stone unturned, until we reverse the effects of the impunity that was spearheaded by a few rogue officials within the Urban Planning Department,” said Sonko.
The suspension comes in as a surprise just a few months ago Sonko had named Kerich one of his most hardworking CECs and even elevated him to the position of ‘super’ CEC or Nairobi county’s Mr Fix it.
The ‘Super CEC’ tag was akin to that of Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.
Reports from City Hall revealed that, Sonko fired the group following the callapse of Precious Talent School in Dagoretti Constituency on Monday.
