Former media personality Jacque Maribe has come out guns blazing in defense of her name.
This is after comedian Jalango shared a picture of himself alongside Joseph Irungu alias Jowie, that caused a stir on social media.
“This was a good day….@jowie.jowi. Keep holding!” wrote Jalang’o.
Not only did the picture elicit mixed reactions, but a number of social media users also dragged Jowie’s ex-fiancé Maribe’s name into the heated conversation in the comments section.
“Not that he deserved justice. He deserved a bail and he’s innocent until proven guilty, Monica deserves justice too but it was unfair kupea Maribe bail waache huyu.” One social media user commented.
In response, an angry Maribe fired back.
“Please don’t mention my name on things you know about. Thanks,” wrote Maribe.
Jowie was arrested in September last year in connection with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani whose body was found in her apartment at Lamuria Gardens off Denis Pritt road in Nairobi on September 20.
Maribe was consequently arrested and questioned over the murder and was released on a Sh2 million cash bail while Jowie is still behind bars after being denied bail.
