I didn’t know the song would land me in trouble- Tanzanian rapper Rosa Ree apologizes to controversial song with Timmy Tdat
Tanzanian rapper Rasary Robert also known to her fans as Rosa Ree has apologized to the controversial song Vitamin U after being summoned by Tanzania Film Board, Wednesday.
Ree took to social media claiming she had no prior knowledge that the video would land her in trouble. Saying she was not conversant with the structure pertaining to video regulations concerning artists in Tanzania.
“Ningependa kuomba radhi kwa waliokwazwa na ile video iliyosambaa mtandaoni. Leo hii nimefurahi kukutana na Bodi ya Filamu Tanzania wamenielimisha mengi kuhusiana na sanaa na kanuni zake. Tutaendelea kufanya kazi pamoja ili kuweza kuifikisha sanaa ya Tanzania mbali zaidi.” She said.
The 24-year-old further stated that she had learnt a lot from the discussion they had and won’t repeat the mistake again.
“Nafurahi kwamba nimepata wito ya kukutana na Bodi. Na wamenieleza mambo mingi kuhusiana na Sanaa ya Tanzania. Nimefahamu kama msanii inatakiwanipeleke script yangu kabla yaku share. Nimeweza kugundua kuwa board ya filamu nimarafiki zetu.”
