Student with Coronavirus-like symptoms reported at KNH

More than 2700 coronavirus cases have been confirmed, mostly from Wuhan in China where the outbreak began in December.

A student from China with coronavirus-like symptoms has been admitted to the Kenyatta National Hospital(KNH) isolation ward.

The shocking news has been confirmed by Kenyatta National hospital’s Communication Manager Hezekiel Gikambi.

“He was brought by the airport surveillance ambulance and is currently going through tests to rule out or confirm if he indeed has the disease,” Gikambi said.

The report has pushed the Ministry of Health to swing into action and investigations are ongoing to establish the suspected coronavirus case.

The 20-year-old student details remain unknown after landing at JKIA at 9:30 am and rushed to the KNH.
