From the streets to washing dead bodies; The untold story of Sailor’s gang ‘Miracle Baby’

We all have stories to tell. You know, our struggles, challenges, those humble beginnings when starting out in life. Stories that shape us to become who we are, great and admirable men.

Sailor’s gang lead member Miracle Baby is no exception. In a recent interview with NTV’s Anto Neosoul, he revealed how he had to struggle just to make ends meets.

He said that he was once a street urchin before landing a job as a morgue attendant.

“Nikiwa myoung nilikuwa chokosh halafu nikaanza kudu kwa mortuary Kuwaosha after that nikaanza kuuza mawe pale ndederu ndio maana mi nikipiga ngoma na energy sitaki kurudi huko walai ni kubaya,” said the singer.

In the same interview, other members of the group Shalkido, Lexxy Yung, Masilver and Qoqosjuma also shared their life experiences before making it big.

The group’s hypeman Qoqosjuma revealed how he used to make hair while at times did standup comedy just to put food on the table. Other members: Masillver used to work in a mjengo and Shalkido said he was a tout.

Well, as the saying goes every cloud has a silver lining. And indeed the gengetone group sure is a testimony of this saying. The group which started hitting headlines last year April, indeed through it all,  they have weathered through the storm. Now Miracle Baby is not only a singer but also a presenter in a local TV Station, and according to other group members, the sky is only the limits.
