Father to top KCPE girl June cheptoo speaks
The father to top KCPE Girl June Cheptoo who scored 439 marks has spoken and celebrated his daughter who tied with two other students behind top boy Andy Micheal Munyiri from Damacrest school Thogoto.
The father Mr Jonathan Komen who is also a sports editor with the Standard Newspaper Nairobi said it was a proud moment seeing her firstborn girl flying high in the academic realms.
“I feel so proud and honoured that my daughter worked very hard and secured position two nationally it is not a mean feat,” said Komen.
Komen also said it took a lot of investment to grind out the results that June realised.
“I bought her a lot of books and she even wrote a story that was published on the Standard Newspaper,” he added.
“I invested a lot of money taking her to a very good school and buying books.”
Komen together with jubilated locals of Kipchawat village, Marakwet county celebrated the achievements of the Sang’alo primary school students in Nandi county.
