Ethiopian Airline returns remain of 28 Kenyans who perished in March
Seven months after 157 passengers died in a fatal Ethiopian Airline crash on March 2019, the remains of 28 out 32 Kenyans involved have arrived home.
The remains which were well placed in specialised caskets landed at the Jomo Kenyatta Airport aboard an Ethiopian Airline at 10 am on Monday.
The remains will be released to close family members who gathered at JKIA Presidential Pavillion while undergoing psychological counselling.
The families held a requiem mass at the same place in the presence of foreign affairs Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma.
According to Ethiopian authorities, it took them 240 days to conclude DNA marching exercise.
The Boeing 737-Max plane happened at the Bishoftu region of Ethiopia.
