Who is Maria Wavinya?
Maria Wavinya, an accomplished model and influencer, is the current wife of top young entrepreneur Khalif Kairo.
Ms. Wavinya’s successful modeling career flourished in 2019 when she was crowned Miss World Kenya.
The beauty pageant titleholder also represented Kenya in the Miss World 2019 edition and was named among the top 12 models.
Maria reigned as Miss World Kenya up to 2021 during which she ventured into influencing and content creation.
Her auspicious talent won the attention of many corporate magnets all over the world.
In an interview with content creator Eve Mungai, Maria shared memorable experiences with her former boss, Mr. Wang, with whom she traveled around the world.
“I remember like I think 2020 to 2022 I was working for this Chinese guy his name was Mr. Wang. So, with him, we did a lot of traveling. I would wake up and Mr. Wang is like hi Marie I packed your bag we’re going to Cape Town, and am like count me in!” said Wavinya.
Her busy schedule strained her education but she still managed, thanks to online virtual learning.
Maria revealed that she has since retired from content creation and influencing to pursue other endeavors.
Khalif Kairo praises his wife for humility and loyalty
Khalif Kairo heaped praise on his wife for what he termed as trustworthiness and reliability.
The couple answered questions from YouTuber Eve Mungai about how they maintain their relationship amid fame and success.
On her part, Maria mentioned an encounter in her Instagram chat where a fan asked her if she had a life before meeting Kairo.
Referring them to her Instagram wall, Maria insisted that she was successful before she met the high-flying young entrepreneur.
“If it’s money, I have seen money,” said the former Miss World Kenya.
Khalif credited Maria for her modesty, revealing that she is unmoved despite her DMs being congested with messages from big-shot politicians and celebrities.
“Maria is very modest for a girl of her beauty. If I showed you her DM, we might probably bring the country to a standstill. She blue ticks (ignores) very rich superstars, the who is whos. Money and fancy cars don’t excite her.
Kairo also revealed that his wife respectfully declines luxurious dates from him as she enjoys his company in the confines of their residence.
Kairo’s marriage announcement surprised Ms. Mungai, the viewers, and Maria herself.
Kairo intimated that the two are married in vague statements that have caught the attention of netizens.
“We are technically married, we are just working on the.. er.. er.. yes we are actually married,” said an uneasy Kairo.
Referring to it as exclusive news, host Eve Mungai noticed Maria’s surprised expression and playfully asked her about it. “You are not aware you are married? Why are you shocked?” posed Ms. Mungai.
