– Citizen Tv anchor Willis Raburu back from leave after taking a break to mourn his daughter
Citizen TV anchor Willis Raburu is back on the screen after taking a month to mourn his daughter.
Raburu announced his return during DayBreak on Monday, while joining the Football panelist during the morning show.
“Wagwan my people, Niko ndani. It is Monday and what a beautiful way to kick off February,” he said.
On his Instagram page, he thanked everyone who stood by him during one of the lowest moments in his life, when he lost his daughter Adana.
“It’s great to be back in the game @citizentvkenya Thank you for all the love and the support, I truly appreciate,” said Willis.
Yesterday he shared a picture of a tattoo he had gotten in honor of his late daughter. Beside the photo, he captioned: ” I will never forget. Rest in Palaces my Queen.”
Last month Willis announced that he had taken a short break from his duties to comfort his wife and mourn his late daughter.
“Over the past few days, my heart has been shattered and torn into several pieces. The pain I have felt has been immeasurable and one that words fail to aptly capture. It has left me with several questions and literally reset my outlook on life,” part of Raburu’s post read.
“I want to say thank you for those in the know who continue to lift my wife and I in prayer and ask that you continue to do so up until the time I will be back on your screens and on your radio!” He added.
