Rising rapper Pop Smoke accidentally revealed his address on Instagram the night before thugs broke in and shot him, the Mirror has reported.

It is reported that the person who called 911 had been in contact with someone in the house. Between two and six people broke into the home, one of them wearing a mask, according to witnesses.

The rapper had just begun making a name for himself in the summer, with the release of his debut mixtape, “Meet the Woo,” featuring the trap-influenced anthem, “Welcome to the Party.”

The video for the song has gathered more than 24 million views on YouTube.

His Instagram story shows him filming shopping bags while flaunting his items his Hollywood address was visible on the screen.

It might have been possible that thugs might have gotten hold the address,ย  tracked him down and shot him, critically injuring him before fleeing on foot.

The rapper, whose real name was Bashar Barakah Jackson, was reportedly rushed by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood where he was later pronounced dead.
