‘Mama Baha’ to stage march to Uhuru’s office over brother’s disappearance

Former Machachari actress Wanjiru Mburu popularly known as Mama Baha will stage a walk to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s office on 28th January following government inaction over kidnapped brother in Mogadishu, Somalia.

The actress disclosed her intentions on a local radio station, where she plans to rally her fans and concerned citizens to stand with her during the protest. The shared post read;

She will be doing a walk to the president’s office on 28th January 2020, as she continues to push for help towards bringing her brother Georgie back home. A few weeks ago, Wanjiru shared a video on her social media page highlighting the governments’ futile attempt to bring back her brother George Mburu and his cousin, only identified as Macharia.

According to the actress the duo left for Mogadishu on January 5, 2014, and reportedly abducted 11 days later.

In the video shared on her handle page, she opened up on th tragedy and trauma her family has been through for the past six years their kin has been away.

In hushed tones I was told, I’m in a meeting I’ll call you later, this went on for a while until they no longer bothered to pick my calls. See Mr President my brother was kidnapped and its now 3 years since and there’s nothing from you or your office. After everything has been said, its been said but nothing done” read part of the letter to the President which she wrote in 12th August 2017,” she posted.
