The local bank at the centre of the case has so far hired a top British law firm that represents Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle to tackle the case.
The London-based law firm has a high reputation in dealing with defamatory cases.
The move by Victoria Bank underlines how serious the bank is to ensure that Mr Nyakundi and his counterpart Emmanuel Nyamweya faces the best counsel in the alleged defamation case.
Mr Nyakundi and Nyamweya were arrested by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers at Westgate Mall, Nairobi, on Monday on allegations of extortion, blackmail and false accusations.
