Two people have been left nursing injuries in Khofor Kharar in Wajir after suspected Al-Shabaab militants attacked the passenger bus.
Wajir County Police Commander Thomas Ngeywa confirmed the unfortunate incident.

The militant struck early Friday morning at around 6:30 am, the bus was heading to Wajir town.
According to Ngeywa, the terrorists run into the bushes when the bus driver drove on despite their attack.

The attackers damaged one of the vehicle’s front tyres when they fired. However, the number of affected passengers is not clear yet since most of them fled when the driver stopped the bus.
