Chris Martin has issued a public apology to fans who were mugged during his Nairobi concert at Impala grounds.
Taking to his twitter account, Martin said that he was saddened by what befell his fans despite braving the cold weather.
“Now…I see a few reports about my concert in Nairobi this past weekend and how my performance was marred by muggers and the lack of proper security. Whilst performing I did see a few scuffles that threw me off but I didn’t know the magnitude of what was happening.
“I’d like to extend my sincerest apologies to those affected by those criminals who targeted my awesome supporters who braved the inclement weather to come, enjoy and sing,” he said.
Monday saw organizers of the ‘Big Deal Concert,’ apologies over security mishap witnessed at the event.

“We have great respect for the fans who have supported our shows and we apologize for the lapses in controls and security,” Umoja Splash said in a statement.
The much ‘Big deal’ concert slated for KICC grounds was moved to Impala grounds, Gong road due to unpredictable changes in the weather patterns and overwhelming response it had gotten, which raised security concerns.
However, in spite of the security challenges witnessed, the Jamaican trio staged a breathtaking performance.
Also, several acts locally graced the stage include; Elani, Masauti, and Bensoul among others.
