Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has vowed to oust President Yoweri Museveni from his seat.
Speaking shortly after his release a defiant Bobi Wine said that nothing will hold him back from running against Museveni in the 2021 elections.
“Our challenge is we are dealing with a government that does not respect the law. We are telling President Museveni and his police to respect the law and the ground should be leveled. We are taking you on in 2021 and we are winning,” said Bobi Wine.

The singer- turned- political activist was arrested on Monday in Kampala while attempting to access a venue in the outskirts of the capital city so as to hold his first meeting with supporters.
It is reported that after he was arrested he was taken to various police stations within the capital and later on released unto the wee hours of the night.
Following his release he also went on to announce the cancellation of a planned meeting which was set for Gulu, due to the turnaround of events.
“We are not going for the Gulu consultation meeting today. This is because we have to make sure our arrested colleagues are out. Our Lira consultation meeting is on because we have met all the guidelines,” said the MP.
But police have however maintained that the youthful politician is yet to comply with guidelines of holding a public participation.
“Although Robert Kyagulanyo claims he met all the legal requirements for public consultations, the provisions of the Public Order Management Act, which deal with the conduct of public meetings and assemblies, were not fully met,” the police said in a statement.
