At least 13 students will sit their KCPE, KCSE exams in maternity ward

New reports from Webuye area education director has stated that at least 13 students will write their KCPE and KCSE exams in a maternity ward.

The Webuye area director of education Sospeter Were says ambulance service is on standby. Were was speaking at St Mathews ACK Secondary school in Webuye on Thursday evening.

“We have talked to the school heads and centre managers that when a student is due to deliver they should communicate to us so that we dispatch a vehicle to take them to the hospital,” said Were.

Of the 13 candidates, 5 are sitting for KCPE while 8 are for KCSE.

This comes at a time when a consultative forum on ending teenage pregnancy is ongoing in Kakamega County.
