Anti-aging foods to eat for a younger look
The cleansing process starts from inside to outside. It was what you take in that reflects on the skin.
We normally say that when it comes to loosing weight, we have to change our lifestyle. The same goes for looking younger.
There are much healthier foods that we can consume to help achieve the desired younger look.
The catch is to always get foods that are rich in Vitamin E and are great antioxidants.
Here are some of the plant based foods that can help us achieve all that.
- Green leafy vegetables
This goes for any green vegetable(containing chlorophyll). Always steam your vegetables when preparing them. This prevents the loss of valuable nutrients.
Most vegetables contain vitamin A,C and E which are good for the skin. They are also great antioxidants.
2. Avocados
Avocados are one of the best fruit when it comes to diet, hair and now skin too.
It contains high levels of Vitamin E, Vitamin B and potassium. This helps in keeping the skin hydrated. It also contains unsaturated fats which lower blood pressure and increase blood flow which is important for stimulation skin cells and prevent ageing.
3. Blueberries
Blue berries contains large amount of antioxidants such as flavonoids, anthocyanin and the main component Vitamin C.
These promote cell health and helps in increasing immunity in order to protect against diseases.
The more dark the berries are the more is the antioxidants present in them. So, next time you find those lovely looking berries in the market, quickly put them in your fruit basket.
4. Watermelon
Watermelons are highly recommended because of their hydrating properties. Free radicals stimulate the signs of ageing such as wrinkles on the skin. Hence, watermelon fights towards it.
It also contains lycopene that prevents from any kind of heart diseases, cancer and diabetes.
5. Nuts
From the pine nuts to walnuts, almonds and cashews plays a major role in repair of skin cells/tissues. It contains healthy fats as well as calcium, vitamin E, potassium. A handful of nuts, that’s all you need.
6. Fish
This doesn’t mean that you consume any type of fish. Always look for fish that are high in omega 3 fatty acid. The omega 3 fatty acids helps to rejuvenate the skin hence keeping it young.
Salmon and Tunas are great examples of fish that are loaded in omega 3 fatty acids.
