Morara Kebaso announces State House march as #OccupyParliament protests prepare for a comeback
Prominent activist and party leader Morara Kebaso has voiced his support for the upcoming protests scheduled for Thursday, November 21st, at Parliament Buildings.
In his country-wide tour, the INJECT Party leader has exposed failed government projects, demonstrating the heavy loss of public funds to corruption.
From absentee contractors and poor workmanship, to clear theft of funds, Morara’s Vampire Diaries investigative series has sparked widespread outrage against the government.
A visibly enraged Morara advised Kenyans not to wait until the next election cycle to change the country’s leadership.
Mr. Kebaso then took to his social media pages to invite ‘fearless’ Kenyans for a soon-to-be-held State House march.
“Start preparing yourself. We are marching to the State House very soon. We have a special assignment that needs fearless people,” wrote Morara on X.
Morara calls for youth-led revolution in Kenya
Morara has also reached out to Kenya’s Gen Z, who are organizing a second round of protests following the high-profile occupation of Parliament in June.
Gen Z has vowed to hit the streets citing a dysfunctional health insurance scheme (SHIF), continued illegal abductions, and the re-introduction of the rejected Finance Bill 2024.
Kenya’s social space is awash with posters and banners in support of the scheduled demonstrations.
The selected date of protests also coincides with President Ruto’s appearance at Parliament Buildings to deliver his State of the Nation address in front of legislators.
Morara views the planned demos as a high-stakes opportunity to bring together young leaders and people beyond tribal inclinations.
“We urgently need a youth-led revolution in Kenya. This is a call to all youthful leaders who have the influence and capacity to mobilize. We need to unite,” said Morara in a social media post.

Kebaso’s unifying message comes after heavy online criticism, with social media users accusing him of pursuing activism without consulting others, despite public funding for his efforts.
Morara has remained consistent in his Vampire Diaries series which has continued to earn him public recognition.
It remains to be seen whether his now-cautious online following will successfully rally behind him in the upcoming wave of protests.
