The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has rubbished reports that Tuesday, they had summoned rapper Kennedy Ombima alias King Kaka over hard-hitting song ‘Wajinga Nyinyi.’

The rapper in a post had earlier claimed that he was to appear at the agency’s headquarters, a position confirmed by activist Boniface Mwangi.

Taking to Twitter, the DCI instead rubbished the reports circulating online as a stunt aimed at seeking media attention.

“We wish to condemn strongly false information being peddled through social media to the effect that one Kennedy Ombima @RabbitTheKing has been summoned. Nobody from @DCI_Kenya has summoned him.

“Anybody wishing for publicity should be warned to desist from using the @DCI_Kenya as platform in seeking media attention.” Read the DCI tweet.

King Kaka arrived at the DCI headquarters on Kiambu road earlier in the afternoon in the company of his wife Nana Awiti, two lawyers, Thirdway Alliance leader Ekuru Aukot and activist Boniface Mwangi.
