Cable News Network (CNN) has listed Africa’s top artists.
Among the artists listed by the network include Nigeria’s Burna Boy who tops the list. The singer is coveted for his sonorous music and thrilling performance. He has also been nominated for the Best World music Grammy.
Coming in at two is Benin’s songstress Angelique Kidjo. She is a singer, songwriter, and activist. She has scooped several awards in her music career, including winning three Grammys.
Taking the third slot is Bongo Flava baby Diamond Platnumz. Platnumz is an award-winning star. In 2015, he won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Africa, Middle East, and India Act.
In fourth place is the sassy Yemi Alade. The Afro-pop singer first came to the limelight after winning Peak Talent Show in 2009.
While Tiwa Savage takes the fifth slot. The singer made history in 2018 after winning the Best African Act at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards, becoming the first woman to win the category.

Show you the money hit maker Wizkid comes in at six. The Nigerian entertainer has collaborated with multiple artists including Drake, Wale, and Beyonce.
At seven is Nigerian singer, Oluwatosin Ajibade alias Mr Eazi. He is known for pioneering Banku music a sound “characterized by percolating rhythms and laid-back vocal delivered in Ghanaian Pidgin English.” It largely fits into the category of Afro beats, a contemporary West African pop genre that marries global pop, highlife, and hip-hop.
Well, taking the eighth spot is South African singer, Sho Madjozi. She is credited for her latest popular smash hit ‘John Cena.’ The song is centered around a phrase the WEE star used while still a wrestler; “You can’t see me.”
Coming in at nine is South African singer-songwriter and poet Busiswa Gqulu. He gained prominence after featuring on popular South Africa’s DJ Zinhle’s song, ‘My Name Is.’
Mwila Musonda, aka Slapdee, lands the 10th position. The Zambian rapper is esteemed for his charitable works. He was once reported for using his record label to raise donations for local orphanages and children’s hospitals.
