Can I access my Kitisuru home, I am clothless — Sarah Wairimu pleads with court
Sarah Wairimu, the widow to slain Dutch business tycoon Tob Cohen has pleaded with the court to allow her access to her Kitisuru home so that she can retrieve her personal effects.
Wairimu lamented that she has been depending on friends and relatives to get clothing to wear since her Sh400 million marital home is off-limits for her through a court order.
She further said that mobility has been a challenge for her since he also has no access to her car which is tucked in the house.
According to her lawyer Philip Murgor, Wairimu also wants to visit the house and take an inventory.
However, State Counsel Catherine Mwaniki has declined to offer Wairimu her request stating that the house is a crime scene and everything in it serves as an exhibit, that why Wairimu cannot be allowed in yet.
After a compromise, the prosecutor has allowed asked the widow to write down a list of the things needs from the house through a formal application filed by Murgor.
The case will be mentioned next Tuesday when the court will make a ruling on other issues raised by the parties on contempt.
