Missing catholic priest found murdered in Embu
A priest from Machakos county who went missing has been found dead and buried in a shallow grave in Makima, Embu County.
Fr Michael Maingi Kyengo,43, was kidnapped by unknown men on 8th October 2019. He was last seen driving his car at Kaewa, said the police.
The motive behind the murder of the priest has not yet been established.
“We want to exhume the body of the priest for examination so that the truth of the matter can be established. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has also launched investigations to expose the killers and the motive behind the heinous act,” said the Embu County Police Commander Daniel Rukanga.
The priests body will be exhumed for the purposes of conducting a post moterm to know the cause of death.
