Woman stung by bees to death
A woman was stung by bees to death as she picked tea in her farm in Kivaruri village, Kanja area of Embu East.
The woman, Rosemary Wanja accidentally stepped on the bees that had nested at the base of the tea bushes.
Her screams attracted the attention of her neighbours who tried to rescue her but their attempts were futile as the bees were really aggressive and attacked anyone who came close.
Most of the neighbours who tried to rescue her, were left with a lot of bee stings.
When they finally managed to rescue her, it was too late.
She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Runyenjes sub County hospital where she had been rushed to.
