Details: Raila Odinga meets Yoweri Museveni
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has finally met with Uganda President Yoweri Museveni.
The two leaders held a meeting at State House, Entebbe, where they reportedly discussed socio-economic and political matters.
Museveni told Odinga of how his National Resistant Movement has led to the emancipation of the marginalised such as women, youths and the disabled.
“By independence, Uganda had only three women MPs out of 90. When NRM came to power we embraced the politics of equality in favour of gender balance and sowed the seeds of affirmative action in all systems,” said Museveni.
Mr Odinga and Museveni also conversed on matters agricultural crop production through the application of phosphate produced in Tororo to supplement organic and compost manure.
