VIDEO: President Pombe Magufuli draws inspiration from Sauti Sol
Kenya’s most decorated singing group Sauti Sol gained more prominence on Monday after Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli warbled one of their most recent popular songs while delivering a speech.
Known for his no-nonsense approach to development issues, Magufuli drew inspiration from Sauti Sol’s hit song Extravaganza.
Magufuli said just as the song states that the singing group cannot be stopped by any forces in their quest for glory so is his government when it comes to matters development.
The first-time president was speaking during the launching of a radar system in Dar es Salaam.
Sauti Sol later responded through their Instagram page, saying Magufuli will always remain on top.
